My weaving year in 20 photos!
That's off course to less, I made so many weaves this year! Adding a roller coaster text to this roller coaster year..

The first photo is me with my 8 shaft Jane, with a weave lesson on twill on it. After that I made my first little free works on this loom, small weaves about my transition.
In March I made Ocular Aurora, which is, inspired by the patterns on my dress and the patterns I see undergoing visual migraine.
This work made me enthusiastic to try for funding, so I requested subsidy at @stimuleringsfonds. An experiment called Weaving Glitches. Which I received and make me decide to take the dice and stop working at @worm_rotterdam. Still doing some freelance work, but trying to build my weaving career the coming years. By now I wove three large research weaves and starting the fourth and last within this experiment. I actually think I invented a new weaving technique, which I will document in the coming months.
Then in September I started my campaign for A Story Of Unfolding Wings at @voordekunst. An animaton build with handwoven frames, telling the story of my transition. Thanks to 107 contributors and @cultuurfonds and @gemeenterotterdam I can make it happen. I now finished three of five weaves, preparing number four. It's getting there, and getting more fun every weave!
And during the whole year I was also following several weaving courses from Monique Hakkennes at @ckc_partners. Now getting into double weave..
