Tomorrow, Saturday, September 5, the opening of the “Threads of Imagination” exhibition will take place at 15 hrs
! It’s a group exhibition featuring quite a few of my weaves! There’s Ocean of Colors hanging in the entrance. And The Waves My Brain Makes, my newest two-and-a-half-meter weaving that came off the loom yesterday, is hanging above the stairs leading to the large exhibition space.
In addition, I’m showing some of my multi-layered weavings created as part of my recently completed research project Layered Complexity funded by CBK Rotterdam, as well as various Glitches, Noisy TV. And my woven stop motion film A Story of Unfolding Wings is being played on Unit4Art’s 3-D video art sphere.
I’m a little overwhelmed myself! It’s the ultimate moment to see so much of my work all together. Be sure to also check out the work of 24 other textile artists! It has come together beautifully.
