Als ik aan het weven ben stel ik mij het groeiende doek voor als een zee van golven. Zoals het leven, waarin geluk wordt afgewisseld met minder fijne periodes. In het werk Ocean of Colors werkte ik bewust volgens dat idee. Ik experimenteerde met verschillende kleurcombinaties en patronen. Wave of Colors is een vervolg, doorgeweven op dezelfde schering. Een extra kleurengolf in baklijst verankerd.

When I’m weaving, I imagine the evolving cloth as a sea of waves. Just like life, in which moments of happiness alternate with less pleasant times. In the piece Ocean of Colors, I deliberately worked with that idea in mind. I experimented with gradually changing color combinations and patterns. Wave of Colors is a continuation, woven on the same warp. An additional wave of color anchored in a floating frame.
