Glitching Threads is a direct follow up on my Weaving Glitches research. It’s a commissioned work, but with full freedom on the design. It is based on my first Weaving Glitches weave. I did add some variations in patterns and angles off the patterns I did not try before. Also I made some variations using the Shuffle weaving technique. It will be used as a table runner, since my commissioner mentioned: ‘art is best being used’. With that in mind I dove deeper in the use of patterns, so that on every bit of fabric you’ll find another inspiring detail. Like the children hidden picture books I liked as a child, full of details and hidden treasures.
